Cannot transfer save data from demo.
I started playing the demo on my steam deck. Before finishing the demo (about 4 hours in) I went ahead and purchased the full game. When I try to do the story demo data conversion to transfer my save, it says no demo save data can be found. Has this been a problem for anyone else? Any solution?

yes have the same issue. Perhaps because I deleted the Demo earlier? Don't know.

I have the same problem too... I played through the story demo then I bought the full game and I cannot transfer my savegame to the full game! When I try the conversion it says no demo save data can be found! This is really disappointing and it is very shameful that they couldn't test the savegame transfer feature properly!

The issue is that Steam treats the demo and full versions as different "applications" and they each have their own AppData folders in which their saves live.

I've put some instructions in this discussion about how to copy them across.

Not sure if they used a separate folder for the demo (might be SCARLET NEXUS DEMO instead?)
and just copy them over to your new system unless steam has cloud save support for them in which case you shouldn't need to manually move them over.....
