Well, before I bought the full game, I tried the demo (and transferred my save files and continued playing both stories at the same time from there)..

The demo itself is unusually long but I heard that the devs updated the demo to include more things. How much more? I don't really remember. Maybe 5 hours in total (both sides combined)? I didn't really finished it properly before buying the full game.

Thought Kasane's demo part is way longer, as Yuito's part is bugged (there is an error popping up after you finish chapter 0), unless the devs has rolled out a fix for it.

ok so I played both since no one here seems to have explained the difference....so basically the demo edition is a quick half an hr taste of the game's gameplay with minimal story telling but the story version might actually be the full game but like up to chapter 1 of it as it ends before you sleep on the couch. And also you apparently can transfer your demo save from the story version to the full game version.

Seems you can play from two different perspectives - Kasame's and Yuito's - hope I spelt their names right. Probably better if I just referred to them by girl and boy... I of course started with the boy's perspective since I'm a boy after all... I assume the girl's perspective is for girl players.

Anyways, it was fun and will have this on my to buy list.

Yup, you've described it well enough. Some details may be missing, but that's not really important.

It's Kasane, so you were close enough.
As for the playthroughs, it is necessary and quite a requirement to play as both characters, as you may wanna know their thoughts, feelings, and possibly even emotions from their own perspectives to better understand them.
I do recall playing as Yuito in my first playthrough (as is recommended, if I'm not mistaken) and I've really thought that Kasane was insane.. But after playing through the game even from her perspective, pieces of this puzzle have started to make sense.
Well.. Partly, as the story on its own doesn't really make sense.. But the gameplay is just awesome, especially with Kasane's dodge attacks.

I'd definitely suggest getting the license to play the game once it gets on sale, as it's not really worth the full price tag by my opinion..

If you can get the Ultimate Edition under ~50€, I'd say, it's worth the money.. If we assume, ~60 minutes = 1€.
That is, if you play as both characters.
You shall finish the game approximately in ~35 hours with both playthroughs completed, even later on if you tend to set up your difficulty higher and do read slowly.
Then, if you're a bit of an achievement hunter like me, do add around ~20 more hours for the achievements requiring to obtain a specific bond level with certain characters and other ones alike.

At the end of the day, you're looking at ~40 - 90 hours of gameplay, if you were to ask me.

Are the bonds like romance options or something? Where at the end you get to kiss them or they kiss you??

As far as I remember, there's no such thing here.
Some characters may feel sympathy for each other at certain moments, but there's really no.. deep romance or such stuff in this game.
