Not being able to play as your party members.

Since this game doesn't have a character creation I thought there will be a good chance to play as the other members of your party or being able to switch characters in battle.
As time goes by I realized that it's not going to happen. The devs go for this chosen one main character which can use his/her allies' abilities which made him/her pretty op so there's no point to use the other members. Being able to switch characters in battle would be great tho.

Anyway this is my only nitpicky negative point about this game and still pretty bummed out about it, the rest I saw are great.
Am I going to buy it? Yes but I still want to see the reviews just to be sure.

The media preview talks about two seperate campaigns, not sure if those were only for the media, or if you can pick them before you start and as you play the game.

Not sure why you think OP didn't know this already, they clearly did.

I think that's more of a minority preference. The majority of Jrpg/arpg players don't care about it. I gotta wonder if you complained about not being able to play as Kainé and Emil in Nier Replicant (my bet is you didn't).

And I don't think OP sees it as a mixed opportunity, maybe just more of a "Why?" than anything and I'll explain it to them.

Am I going to buy it? Yes but I still want to see the reviews just to be sure.

I really loved Code Vein's character creation, Bamco definitely made one of the best character creators there, but I'm glad they went a different route here. Concrete characters always provide players with a more solid story/universe.

As far as the party systems, it is based off/inspired of Code Veins "borrow" system but at the same time, a little different. The borrow system in Nexus is weaved into the story but the gifting/bonding system remains the same as Code Vein - where you can give party members items you find and after building enough favor, you can get rare items or upgrades in return.

In battle, I love what they did with the animations when you borrow powers, inexperienced gamers will probably see these animations as breaks but 2D anime fighter fans will instantly recognize these animations.

In general i do not give a ♥♥♥♥ if it apeals to the majority or minotrity. It is a gameplay feature that could be implemented in every jrpg with a partysystem and in my opinion it should, period.

But you do, every time someone compares Scarlet Nexus to Nier Automata, you feel obligated to defend Nier Automata. This has been seen many times.

I even liked Ys Origin and Oath in Felgahna, less so Ark, hell i even give you the confirmation that i did indeed never played a bump combat Ys game, i do own Ys I and II chronicles, though. So if it makes you feel better i let you have the longtime Ys-fan award. I would still be interested to talk about the party system in the Ys games Ys Seven onward. Becasue to be real with you i saw folks on the net talking crap about that system before, but besides it is diffrent and special attacks are abuseable i never really saw much else. Give you the special attacks, though. Not even a question about that.

What i do however still fault you for is not being able to talk about the details like gameplay systems when me or other folks coming here for the same reasons like i do to want to get some substantial info to make an informed purchase desicion. And also resorting to low blow personal attacks, when you get called out for your irrational attachment to bamco.

Because they did. They said in the interview that they wanted to create a Nier type game ever since 2B was featured in Bamco'd Soul Calibur 6, but you wouldn't know that since you're somewhat new to the Nier universe and hate Bamco.

I do not hate any publisher, maybe with the exception of koei tecmo, because they are just a lazy as ♥♥♥♥ with pretty much all their pc ports for many years at this point. Then you're not a true Nier fan but that's besudes thr poin. It proves that Bandai Namco loved Nier abd wanted to make a game heavily influenced by Nier, an answer to Squenix, a love letter.

Never wanted that, have no idea why you seem hellbent on thinking that I want a review. I was simply pointing out that thr link you posted was from a clickbait article, the writer obviously didn't play the game.
