About the "Totally Lost" quest, I don't think I've EVER seen a knock down in this game
Most enemies stay up regardless of what I do or how much I do and when trying to do this after acquiring the skill, supposedly knocking the damn pound to the ground it just gets up anyway and breaking it is far too damn easy.

Are enemies supposed to look different or have an effect when 'knocked down'? Just failing to do the first kill on the first pound found is just annoying.

As far as I can tell knockdown looks the same as when enemies just fall over.
Missin Pounds get knocked down when you hit them with psychokinesis while they have their smoke deployed.

An easy knockdown would be using Kagero's combo vision. wait for a short second before using psychokinesis so it would activate the psychokinesis skill you need.

Breaking their shell is also considered knockdown.

Try using hypervelocity + duplication when the missin pound gets knockdown, remember not to immediately use psychokinesis or else it might proceed to a follow up psychokinesis and no the finisher psychokinesis (or whatver it is called)

edit: dw, it took me quite some time for me to finish the same quest lmfao.

It's annoying how precise almost the timing to do the finisher is, too early and you will just do a follow-up, too late and, well the damn other is getting up making you do a basic psychokinesis.

lmao ikr. although this is not fully true, but based on how i've been observing pounds (not only missin), they seem to get up faster from knockdown the lower their stun gauge is (yellow).

So what i usually do is hit them till they are 3/4 of their hp, walk around and wait for their stun gauge to recover past half, then use Kagero's combo vision, then wait for a second before doing the psychokinesis.

It also works when they are knockdowned from depleting the stun gauge which would result to brain crush. though they should have hp left before doing the finisher or else it wont count

first make the enemy low in hp then just wait until enemy use fire ball so you can use intercept to make them knockdown and finally finish them with psychokinesis finish

the "knockdown" for the abilty only activate when u hit a n enemy with a weakness; for exemple the missing pound weakness is perfect dodge and counterattack with sas Clairvoyance active, the next psy attack with an object will be psyfinish, u have to wait for it to be completelly on ground. Other enemy has specific weakness but the missing pund is the easiest one to exploit; during the game i maneged to do it against some boss(not the human ones) but its very caotic and random.

idk about this, people gave reasonable ways to do it so I didn't give my two cents, the quest is definitely annoying, but I personally got it down to 1/5 after I break its crush gauge I would than get its hp down and than wait for it to get up, after it gets up it usually does a little smoke animation than I jump up and do 2 x/square attacks which made it fall down for me, after which I would use the knockdown. Also if the knockdown gets its hp to 0 while breaking the grush at the same time I just walk away and wait till they die because it still counts as long as the last hit was a knockdown.

Should note I did this as yuito and I just wanted to make it clear that I did not have to perfect dodge/counterattack.
