Imagine spending hours, if not days trying to get the best equipment for your team, max their bond level and obtain all skills - only to find out that there's no level scaling in this game and everything becomes too weak to provide a challenge.
Combat is the only redeemable feature of this game, but even that was ruined by the horrible EX New Game design and the lack of level scaling.
Eh, to each their own. I personally like that there is no level scaling here and I can actually feel the power progression as my character levels up or I level up the bond with my team.
The game offers multiple difficulty settings and that should be enough for those that want a bigger challenge.
Just my two cents.
Uh, there is. Seriously, how did you miss this option? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2535168752
That's a lot to not include all in all, but there was the Tower of Trials I think? So the three Tower of Trials things and new game+ that had increasing difficulty up to like NG+6 I think, as well as replaying the Depths stuff in general I suppose? Assuming all of that was there at the start, honestly I got the game a few months ago, I dunno what it was like on day one. For all I know the way they did NG+ over there could've been patched in later or something, same with the Tower if I'm not just outright forgetting that was a DLC itself.
What you paid and played for is the story itself, not anything else, just like with all other mainline Tales games out there. If you want replayability for the sake of replayability then there are plenty of lawns in the world that needs your help!
