It sounds like you are very much trying to muscle your way through the fight. The AI will punish you for button mashing and trying to turn the fight into a straight up brawl.
Kasune is super easy to deal with once you learn to gtfo of her attack animation. She is very slow and her power attack takes a long time to charge up. You wont be able to land cool looking awesome combos on her. Hit and run. Dash in when shes vulnerable and back out the second she starts to move. When she throws something at you, throw it right back at her.
Of course you can. Perfect dodge, then you can punish her hard. Especially with clairvoyance dodge (instant knockdown after, including whatever other enemy is nearby). After 2-3 such treatments you can keep her in perma-interrupted state for each combo hit for a good while.
The rest of the flies can be irritating, so dont underestimate well timed sclyrowhateveritsname and put rest of your party to "target other enemy" mode.
Don't spam PK attacks, save it for follow up PK which deals more health and crush damage.
Don't spam ground attack; instead use launch and mid-air attack, followed by Slam Attack and Charge Attack.
Don't spam dodge button (unless you have Tsugumi's Clairvoyance). Just tap it once whenever you see an attack coming; you don't even need to worry about the direction of your dodge, since Perfect Dodge grants invulnerability.
Never lost a single battle against most of the boss in that game in hard difficult. How can you lose in 3-5 sec in normal ?
You just need to work on placement and on strategy, if you expect to win just mashing buttong stick to normal. The game have his issues but not the difficulty.
f.e., last time Kasane killed me in 1 second during her brain field mode when i approached her w/o sclerocinesis armor.
or f.e., this brain-eater general killed me me in about 3 sec: he stunned me and finished off while i'm searched for proper anti-stun item.
Is it even possible?
Why would you even attack enemy in their Brain Field? Just run around the arena and wait for it to end.
With the exception of that practice battle in OSF HQ, Yuito should have an easier time fighting human enemies thanks to his OP Charge Attack and Tsugumi SAS.
