Kill enemy with combo vision quests are horrible
Title. The enemy needs to be basically on a pixel of health left to do this, and your teammates will always decide to kill the enemy before your move comes out, meaning you need to completely reload the area with the enemy in it. Running through an entire map to get one specific enemy and then have luck decide whether you're even allowed to finish the quest is just awful game design.

What I did on most side quests was prepare the enemy for a brain crush prompt, use the combo vision, then brain crush right after the vision hits.

It's not that complicated tbh. Just set your teammates to dodge only so they stop hitting. The only 2 quests that bothered me were the one that required me to kill the water valve guy with perfect dodge to psychokinesis read counter since the enemy's hp is super high the last blip on his hp bar took like 5 counters to kill, and the other one was killing 5 self-exploding flying enemies during drive since letting them self-explode apparently didn't count.

Those quests are easy but it's difficult as hell if you don't change the AI. Open the menu, go to party and press Y/Triangle on the party member who's AI you wanna change.

For the 5 self exploders, you'd do well to start in the mid area, and works your brain drive to just near max, you can then go down to the area with the two giant statues that spawn the 4 explody guys, enter brain drive by hitting them with telekinesis and once again realllllly fast, the r2 finisher skill is best here, but you can also combo vision Tsugumi. Make sure you have double edged plug in, psychokinses plugin, and power plugin (or crush). basic brain drive upgrade will help a lot. Use teleport stay clear of them.

The two giant statues can also be brought down before they spawn so u have ammo and TONS of lead time to either perform finisher move after knocking them down, or hitting them twice in combination of tsugumi. You can get 3 or f4 in one shot, rinse repeat. Be sure to save in case you mess up so you cna just reload with full brain drive...
If the move puts them into crush state and then you brain crush them, it counts. Also just chuck your party members out of the party when you find the enemy in question, they don't do much anyway.

You can remove your teammates from the field if you want to go solo. Just go to the party screen and press the right stick on the selected teammate. You can still use SAS so don't worry about that.

It's more beneficial to have active battle members(2) on the field as it increases SAS Duration and recharge of their SAS gauge while they are with you. So it might be better to have them but just perform evasive maneuvers
