As for KB/M, it's mixed bag, but perfectly playable if you spend some time adjusting keybinds.
In no particular order issues I've so far discovered:
kb/m only specific issues
- as usual lack of the most natural camera-relative attack direction on PC
- no ability to bind keys in combination; this is particularly silly, as in controller context you can handle sas / combat vision via shifted combinations with Y/X/A/B, but can't do that on PC - you literally have to waste extra 8 keys for it, not mentioning other things
- game forces you to bind every key, even if they are de-facto useless (e.g. because shifted combinations don't work or because they are useless in general)
- target switching is automatically hardcoded to whatever you bind to target lock and camera left/right (key _only_ (!))
- for menu traversal, wasd/arrows/qe/13 are hardcoded
- I have never seen more useless target lock in a game; it locks your camera but doesn't track the target (+target switching issue listed above)
kb/m and probably controller as well
- another weird thing - when your character is moving, the camera sensitivity goes down massively (this can be quite irritating in combat); sensitivity is also tied to FPS, which you can easily test with game locked to 30fps, 60fps and unlocked
BUT when you use the mouse, you dont need lockon, which is TERRIBLE in this game.
I have a PS5 controller and for this game i prefer the mouse, just so i dont have to lock on to enemies.
Also, for some reason a ton of enemies have a ranged attack, so mouse camera has a nother advantage as you can look around better than with a controller and you might be able to defend a bit better against the range spam.
Also, for SAS and Combo Vision Skills, you don't need to press their modifier keys to activate even though the game tutorial tells you to (ex: ALT 1 - 4 or CTRL F1-F4), you can just press the number/function key directly.
