Who's watching the anime?

It's likely just as good as the game...since the game is literally a straight up anime just with a manga style presentation rather then animation

For anyone that DOES watch the anime, there is a side quest in the game to connect the anime and game together. Each episode of anime is going to have a hidden code in it, so be on the lookout.

Literally the only problem I had (after around 6 hours with the game) was that some of the potentially really cool fights aren't shown in animation but only in stills. So I will certainly check the anime out.

Watched it. The first 2 episodes basically adapt the game's story up to Phase 2 sans the boss fight at the end, but the events play out differently. I think it's fun to watch and see how it differs from the game.

I'm playing through the female MC's campaign, so I REALLY didn't want to watch the anime...but I think I need to watch for a sidequest, which is a both a pain and awesome.

havent watched the 2nd episode yet, but i have to watch the first one again, now that i know that there are hidden codes in each episode for the game

It does seem to be a quite faithful adaptation so it will have spoilers in

I feel like its less an adaptation and more of a concurrent alternate timeline, one of many perhaps... Just a head theory

Make sure that you do WATCH the anime as later in the game you'll be getting a questline that ties in with the anime.

I said the same for the Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Zestiria anime and I haven't gotten around to watching those yet either lol.
