Will I lose pre-order items if I refund and purchase again?

So before the game launched on June 25th, I didn't have enough for Deluxe Edition, so I pre-ordered the base game instead of the Deluxe Edition of the game. Now I am able to and want to refund the base game in order to purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game.

Will I be able to keep the pre-order bundle after I refund the base game and purchase the Deluxe Edition?

I think you've got a better chance contacting Steam Support for that kind of question since it specifically has to do with the transaction for the game.

If you want the red outfits, soundtrack and artbook, you can just buy the Brain Punk Bundle DLC that's listed in the store page.

As with all games on steam, you get the exact same "key" back if you repurchase a game you refunded. Even the same cloudsaves etc.

But if you opt for a different version then it's a clean slate. I.e no preorders or anything else for that matter. So next time buy on HB since the DX bundle was like 2€ more expensive than the regular edition here.

Just get the Brain Punk DLC if you want the Deluxe Edition on Steam. The only things it does not have are 2 plug-in (one with a +5% bonus for XP and Money and one with a +10% bonus for HP and Defense) and one cosmetic headpeace made to look like the head of the goat like Other. If you really want it go ahead but I'm unsure if it is worth it for you or not to bother with the refund and risk losing your pre-order bonuses.
