The Game has Denuvo, no thanks
So I had posted regarding should I buy this game on launch, but there you go it has Denuvo. Any company punishing paying customer is not worth the time. Ty Banco Dumbco.

ScarletNexus/Binaries/Win64/ScarletNexus-Win64-Shipping.exe = 82.03 MiB

Guess Denuvo found a way to keep the normal size from the .exe then... :lunar2019piginablanket:

Dunno why some people get so worked up about it. Must still be stuck in the 2000s.

i'm not a big denuvo hater outright, but i think one big argument i can get behind is how, when a drm licence expires, if its not removed from a game, you lose access to the game. the licences tend to be pretty long, so you might not have run into a game where its expired just yet, but its very likely to start happening to lots of games fairly soon, since not everyone is great about removing it.

maybe the reason a few unexpected games have started removing it years after the fact is because they were coming up on the licence expiring and didn't want to face backlash over people losing their games.

When denuvo expires developers simply do not renew it and remove it from their games. Dont pull strawman arguments . There hasn't been a single case in gaming history where people lost access to their game when Denuvo expired. You are welcome to provide a single example however ( and not just baseless speculations/assumptions )

The primary purpose of Denuvo is to delay the game being cracked/pirated. After a few years it has served its purpose

To anyone who keeps on saying "i DoN't hAvE iSSuEs WitH D-Novo" or "I wANt D-Novo" Well, Check your privileges, Not everyone has an rtx whatever the fq number and can rely on daddy and mommy's card or has a good job due to country's status. Just because you don't have an issue doesn't mean that other people with lesser computer specs also don't have an issue, Some people don't have insane rigs and are just getting by the minimum requirements which the DRM likes to push even further, And it also asks for constant internet connection FOR AN OFFLINE SINGLEPLAYER GAME....

I own a gtx 1060. I never had any issues performance-wise on games with denuvo. And I doubt a 1060 (5 year old card ) is part of an " insane rig" on 2021.

I'll worry about that when it starts happening, to be honest. I doubt anyone would just let customers lose access to their purchased games like that. It would be a legal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Never had a problem with my RX580 (on par with 1060) and don't have a problem with my 5700xt, which is also a midrange card.

No it doesn't. This is a straight-up lie.

This is exactly what I mean by "Check your privileges"...1060 is still considered a "decent/good" card, we're talking about the low ends who are scraping by the minimum specs requirement in which the DRM is making it worse because of its background processes.

1060 is absolutely not a "good" card anymore. It's lowrange. If you're gaming with something worse than a 1060 in 2021, then the problem is your potato PC.

1060 already the low entry card at this point
Then 1050ti is exactly the scrapping minimum spec, and yes I also don't have issues in games that have Denuvo implement correctly

Until I upgraded I was using a gtx 960 and Denuvo never gave even my old card issues.

This should be marked as answer and thread closed. Normal size .exe = no denuvo unless suddenly they got good at compressing DRM.
SHEMHAMFORASH! Jun 24, 2021 @ 2:04am
But denuvo is good :praisesun: and it's not causing me any proplems
Gintoki_S Jun 24, 2021 @ 2:31am
even my potato gt740m doesnt affect much by DRM so many years...unless their server down we cannot access games, otherwise it just minor effect which wont affect your overall performance.
