Loving the new UE5 Update
Great job devs! I'm loving the improvements. I do have a monster computer (4090, 9800X3D), but it feels almost as good as UE4 for me. I have noticed some minor stutters here and there which I believe is expected based on the patch notes, but overall performance seems to be good.

It seems that ultrawide resolutions may be better supported as well with UE5? There seems to be less of a fish eye effect when I increase the FOV to max 120 when trying to compensate for a 21:9 aspect ratio.

Keep up the good work! Going back to play now. :)

many graphic glitches , i cant get inside vehicles please report what's wrong with the game so they can start working on fixing issues , admiring this wont help improve the game
Step up folks in terms of quality and performance from the out of date U4 engine.

Really impressed with the cross over and its going to be another 10 years hopefully of Squad play.

Without fsr I have to go medium, with fsr quality ultra settings I get 60-120 2k, but fsr implemented here, really looks awful.

turn off wake simulation, massive fps hog even on maps with no water. I also find shadows and ambient occlusion to be the only other setting effect fps asides from raw resolution. So might as well crank everything else assuming you have a decent gpu with 12gb vram at least.

Wake simulation is off. Im on 1440p with rx 7700 xt, 5700x3d, 3200mhz 32gb ram. High with fsr quality and I stay above 60, but it's kinda blurry, native is much cleaner. Don't know what fsr instance are they running.?

What kind of performance are you getting, what settings?

This is false. An Offworld dev said wake sim is neglible on performance:

everything HIGH, but view distance is on epic, particles epic too and water is on medium with waves off, i have DLSS with DLAA and framegen 2x on. The picture is crisp and good even in PIP scope, im getting around 80 to 120 fps, but when i zoom with scopes i got some 1 milisecond freeze thats the only issue for me. also i play on 1440p and NiS sharpening is on 0.70 %

i agree i was the one that created the guide fix; doesnt work on ue5 sadly [/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV
it was a regression for me in terms of frame rate. it went from 120-130 in UE4, to 60-90 in UE5. sometimes it dips below 50 at main. it was GPU bound in UE5. i have a 13600kf ddr4 4060ti8gb

i play at a high ping and shooting feels a little wierder in the play test. i don't know if it's a hit reg problem.

Did you clear cache like they told you to do

Use framegen mate it works pretty smooth with zero issues

love the update, but im crashing a lot, i hope it will be fixed
Runs silky smooth for me 4k using DLAA giving 160fps with frame gen or over 100fps without frame gen. Everything max including wake. With a 4090, 64gb, i5-14600k @5.7ghz. No stutter at all.
UE5 for this is magic. Crisp without any blur
