4/11 playtest review
Specs: i9-9900K, RTX3090, 32GB RAM

With the high settings preset targeting 1080p on a 144hz monitor, I was getting around 70 fps normally and 35 fps when aiming with a magnified optic. The frame rate feels inconsistent, and noticeably less smooth than UE4. Graphics-wise, the UE5 lighting is more ambient, but I definitely don't think it's worth the performance hit or the artifacts from lumen. Vehicles have completely different physics. I wouldn't say it's a major improvement over the previous physics, just different. If you have a lot of hours in certain vehicles, it's going to feel weird. Finally there's some rubber banding issues that I'm pretty sure Offworld is aware of. All and all, the drop in frames from PIP optics was the biggest contributor to me Alt F4-ing.

Keep up the work devs. I'm sure it will get there, but it's needs more time in the oven to avoid alienating a large portion of the fanbase.

going through the setting right now to test and all of the AA options being upscaling only is not filling me with confidence. But for now I'll just chalk it up to it being a playtest.
What i found very odd is that when you open the Deploy menu, due to the blurring of the background or _insert unknown issue here_ it cuts the framerate drastically, almost in half. Mine went down to 39.

Then, when you clicked the faction select screen, and back to deploy, that frame cut would disappear and you're back to normal.

Seems the scope issue halving your fps is connected to all that. The blurring or whatever else. VERY friggen strange.

LOTS of work ahead for the devs, that's for sure.
