i didn’t enjoy it too much at first, but the more i played the more i liked it!
i wish other people would give it more of a chance ;
Plus hating the fanbase its a bit much, but i kinda agree with you.
The Fanbase get finally a new Yume Nikki game after 14 years and then ther just being mean to the game because it's not like the original and I think the Fanbase of a Game just ruined the Game, the Fanbase of UnderTale was a reason why I don't really want to play UnderTale but then later I played it and after I say I like the Genocide Run the most, some 'Fans' was going mad because I say I like the Genocide Run more
I liked undertale and had follow since the demo and never tought the fanbase could be horrible, and it became bad really quick, but yume nikki is not bad like undertale, let me tell you that. In the undertale fanbase one person actually did hurt another human being with cookie with a needle on it, just because of a fanart of a ship.
(or playing at all)
When there was a stealth section I wasn't thinking of Yume-Nikki's story. I was thinking of Metal Gear.
When there was a chase section and a block section, I wasn't thinking of Yume-Nikki's story. I was thinking of LIMBO.
That's the difference between Undertale and this game. Undertale used bullet hell shooters, mixed it with RPG and visual novel elements, and then used them to convey a story that was greater than the sum of it's parts. In this game, I can only clearly see the parts. And they're uninspired.
Specifically how Uboa is just a jumpscare and Monoe/Monoko are just enemies and obstacles.
It's best to take this game on its own because it sure as hell doesn't have any of the surreal dreamy atmosphere of the original.
