Report a translation problem
Like that Glass Cannon or something, where you lose 20% of current hp. Needs a complete rework. It's 2500/wave is nothing after Loop. Noisestorm already re-designed another perk that would give you crystals at the end of a wave. This one needs rework
Another troll is the one where you lose most of your max hp. Since max hp directly affects your armor, even if you have Reinforced/Regenerating Armor or whatever, staying alive is gonna be hard since every single attack will take at least 1 armor plate off of you, cuz of your low hp. You DONT want to have low HP
Other greed perks are just flat out broken, like do 150% more dmg but lose 1% max hp each enemy attack? That's like S tier, so is High Roller.
The issue is the totems that give you a random greed perk where you dont even know what you are picking. When you do Greed Island, at least you have a choice whether to get something or NOT to get it. You don't have that choice with a Greed Totem, you are gonna end up trolling yourself at some point and it would suck a lot if you are already at Loop 1 cuz you CANT remove a greed perk no matter what
So no, I disagree. We don't necessarily need stuff to make greed stuff appear more often as these perks first and foremost, need a rework, and second, if you do draw more Greed Islands that is just broken, I'm sorry
Maybe in the future there's gonna be some sort of "cleansing" introduced where you have a choice to cleanse yourself of one greed perk of your own choice
Double-edged-sword:
You get a percentage of damage as crystals - for most weapons that is a poor-mans version of money-shot. Buuuut you also lose crystals when taking damage and there it is not related to how much damage you take but a flat-percentage. You burn? Yeah you are broke now.
Not being able to get rid of greed as well as many being just so bad means that greed-totems really mess up your runs for good.
Some of the perks are actually decent (but get bad if you upgrade them) or are great overall. But for that to be viable you need to get them from a greed-chest.
having items that increase the chance of specific totems/items to appear... meh, that would seem a bit incosistent.
That one was changed in one of the past patches. It isn't a flat 2500. It scales now. IIRC, it's roughly 5-6 levels of paycheck.
Maybe still a pretty steep price to pay....but less useless past island ~24, and less OP before island ~8
I personally think double edged sword was always beneficial in my runs. Also it directly applies to all the weapons. Money Shot, as it is, is garbage in Loop1+ but DES is always working like charm. I don't think I was even losing that much in crystals as I was gaining
With losing 20% for a single tick of damage you fight without getting a single hit and then on the last islands before the shop you get hit by some fire... and all the money just vanished.
And by the first loop you are far better of with some crystal-dividens.
