ETA for next update?

Just to be clear - i don't intend to rush the developer at all. I know he is just one guy, and he's constantly hard at work pushing very frequent updates to the beta branch of the game.

Though it has been quite a while since the last official update, so i think it's a fair question to ask if there was any expected day range that the next public update will be live. That is all!

you realize that there is a stickied thread at the top of this forum's 1st page, that details the content, changes, and progress for the next patch of the game. You can ALREADY go there and see exactly what is being worked on and balanced, what's being tweaked, and what's STILL being tweaked.

You're NOT going to get a date this will be ready, because there's no telling. It'll get pushed out once it has all the features the dev wants and they're all reasonably balanced. That could be 2 days from now, or it could be 6 weeks from now, depending on how long it takes to lock it all in.

There's no winning, EVER, for a dev to give a date on a patch release (that hasn't already committed to a specific timetable of releases, which usually mean "here's a couple tiny changes, because I can't push the big change i've been working on out because it isn't locked in yet)....either they give one far away to be safe, and engagement for the game drops off hard, or they give one too early (or give a reasonable one and things STILL crop up) and people get all pissy that it wasn't out when the dev said.

You can read the same information we can in the stickied thread...it's the same information the rest of us have.

You're implying that i'm not aware of the near-daily beta updates that noisestorm pushes. I've made it clear in my post that i do know of the beta updates, and i am aware of the beta thread. I purposefully avoid reading through it as to not spoil myself the details for when the main update arrives, but i do occasionally skim to the last pages to keep tabs on the beta updates at the very least.

I never asked for a specific date, my post did request a range. I probably was confusing in my wording, but i suppose a sort of progress update of features done vs what is left to do would've been a better way to put it. I know how game/software development works, and asking for specific dates is indeed impossible without a specified deadline, hence my correction here.

I've already addressed this, but i'll reiterate - i am already aware of the beta updates, as said in my post. I never denied that there was beta updates to begin with. Though i'll keep myself relatively spoiler-free on the specifics, for better or for worse.

you're talking in circles....you're not likely to get a range of dates any more than you are a date.

if you want to know what still needs working on, read the thread. if you don't want to know due to "spoilers" then why ask?

Whether a response is actually given or not is fine by me. I'm not here to force a reply from the dev, i'm a patient person. Still figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it out there
