Skill Chests are random?

I've gotten a couple skill chests this run but they all have been random rewards? As in usually two weapon and one melee mod. I definitely am selecting the skill chest portal so not sure if this is a bug or if I piked up an item/modifier

All chests are random. Just the type of chest restrict which exact upgrades you can get.
Skill-chest will give things like larger-magazin or allYoucanEat.
