Katana Review
Thanks for adding some new stuff, like always

Even in current state with such a prolonged animation so that Blender perk doesn't have that much use for it, it's very good

A tier for me personally, because Pickaxe would probably be better as a safer option

There's definitely a learning curve when it comes down to mastering this melee as it will propel you forward when spamming it means if you are going backwards, it will slow you down. On the other hand, it will increase your speed like crazy if you are just going forward, even without Stamina/Speed Demon perks

The fact it doesn't pushback like Claw is balanced by its damage and multiple hits per cast making On-Hit melee perks very good on it. Anything's better than silly Dagger, that's for sure

tbh I personally want a minigun prototype, some kind of Thompson Submachine Gun or something. 100 ammo magazine, lower spread than minigun, reduced firerate. As we have it right now, only Minigun really benefits from a plethora of weapon mods like Mag Shot/Escalating Shot/Accelerating Shot/Wind up - the list goes on. It shouldn't only be working flawlessly on 1 gun. Other guns don't get the benefit because right from the get go they don't even have 100 ammo to fully benefit from lvl 1 Mag Shot, for instance, and why would you be building Big Mag perks when you can instead focus on reducing reloading time?

This game still needs a lot of polishing
mag shot, escalating shot, and wind up can work on many weapons. The main carry of this build is actually the use of efficiency, and or All you can eat. This keeps your ammo topped off for mag shot, and scales wind up and escalating shot. This can work well for any decently high fire rate weapons.

I don't think you should ever be using Efficiency tbh. If anything, find a ring that reloads your gun immediately upon dashing or just do All you Can eat, the latter of which also does NOT work on Elite/Boss waves so my point still stands - Minigun benefits from these mods with its insane 200 ammo capacity. I have to build Big Mag upgrades for any other weapon if I really wanted to benefit from these mods on Elite/Boss waves where it might really matter

I rather take efficiency than wasting a slot on dash-reload. And most bosses do spawn some critters so Ayce works somewhat.

It is based on the direction you are looking in. The katana flings you forward this will only slow you down if you are moving backwards and use it as it counters your current velocity.
No. If you are fast enough it WILL slow you down even when moving forward.

Dash-reload is only a waste if you know you have Juiced/Ring of Reloading coming up. I don't think anything else gives you reloading except for destroying rocks with whatever that perk is, also very inconsistent. Efficiency is based on chance. Dash-reload is always working 100% of the time

I usually don't play past Loop 1 Diamond win so it's not like I'm gonna be dedicating all my relic slots to legendaries and whatnot

For short runs (just to the first boss) it is great. after that there is a good chance you are missing out on far stronger relics cause of that.
And efficiency - yeah, chance based, and Ayce makes it so you are at full capacity at all times and can use your dashes better for dodging and it does not fall apart with faster firing rates. Now with the firerate-relic it is rather easy to empty the mag in half a second.
If i can get reload-ring i will take it if i still got the free slots - will always be better than not using that slot.
