No? It's 1 guy working on the game, and most companies slow down development near the end of the year as people want to spend time with their families.

i wasnt looking for an excuse like that. he literally said he would update every 2 months himself before. so its not at all outrageous to expect another update by now.

While I'm also eager for a new update (let's be honest this game is super fun and it's always great to see new content) I think we have to be understanding as gamers that this is being done by a single person. The fact that the game works as well as it does, has as much content as it does, and is as enjoyable as it is all while only have a single programmer working on it is amazing. It also means that sometimes we don't get updates on time, which sucks yeah but I'd rather have to wait for new content that's of this quality than rush the guy to come out with something half-assed you know?

What sucks is that before the latest major update, we would be getting beta updates every now and then, the game was being constantly updated, new stuff

Now, that the latest major update is months away, there are no betas whatsoever, just 1 game version. I don't visit reddit or discord to know about the upcoming updates but it'd be nice to get smth new

It's just that right now I got basically nothing to get back to, having already spent 300+ hours doing however many runs. I already switched from previously permanently used hammer (old one) to pickaxe now back to claw but that doesn't quite cut it. I want to see new content

The last update came out in September, and there was a 6 month gap between that and the Variety Update Part 2 which came out in March.

Even if he did say he would update every 2 months, that was before, and this is now. He has to work on the game by himself, it's Christmas in 9 days and he probably has bigger things on his mind than someone complaining because he chooses to prioritise other things over a game.

Let's face it, for a single person to make such an entertaining game is great, and we should be happy about it, not complaining that it's been 3 and a bit months since a major update.

But what do I know in the face of such criticism as "You said you'd update every 2 months"?
