terrible weapon, reload is WAY too long for how fast it chews thru ammo, requires perfect aim and deal almost no damage without a disgusting amount of perks, i dont say this lightly but literally every other weapon in the game performs better than this rod of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

It's easily one of the better weapons in the game. Get some projectile multipliers and the thing shreds. Bonus points if you get a whole heap of ice breakers to spread the ice damage around.

Finished true nightmare and got it to max level in the first run through. its crazy

Imo it is just meh - Ice it self is just not such a good element sadly.
But it does scale well with several weapon-mods and while it has its problems against fast enemies it is good for hoards and long-range.

We had a 6 man Ice Staff team and finished our 3 Loop run without issue with all nightmare modifiers on, it starts really slow but put enough either Efficiency or Autoloader you dont need to do anything and just shoot...

Got Ruby on it on the one run I did yesterday, bouncing shot was definitely what carried it through bigger issues. It feels like Firepower or Split shot is mandatory on it to make it feel GOOD, but of course neither of those have dropped on any run I've taken it on.

Firework shot works better on it than any other weapon though, imo

Has pretty solid DPS and has innate CC. worked really well when I played with it. Wasnt even Godrolling any good perks or mods, I only lost my TN run because a spider crawled on my and I threw my laptop lol

I found it ridiculously good to the point of OP when paired with Homing Blades if you can get that from the totem at the beginning. Just destroys everything.
