Dual Wield Weapons In General
So, I'm complaining about Dual Shotguns again... and Dual Pistols. I play on controller because I have problems with my hands, and it's extremely uncomfortable to fire both weapons while trying to dash away/dodge. If there is any fix that can make the Dual weapons fire at the same time, that'd be great.

I know for Mouse and Keyboard you can set both guns to fire with just M1 (though you have to manually change it back any time you use a weapon that can aim), but Ive used that before for really long runs with laser cannons where I dont want my fingers to break. Not sure if you could map both fire and aim to a single trigger on controller but id give it a shot

Yes. They can be mapped to the same button. I tried with right trigger for both. Works fine. And if you don't mind aiming and shooting at the same time, it's not really a problem. I just started the game, so only have shotguns and automatic rifle unlocked. Both are fine with dual function. I don't know if there's other weapons or situations where you need aim separately, but it only takes a few seconds to pause the game, swap buttons, unpause. Simple quick fix.

Yeah you could map aim and fire to the same key, but I really think there should be an accessibility option so you don't have to change your keys every time.

then how would you aim? Or you mean just a quick option to turn it on or off?

I more so meant a setting that lets you shoot both guns with primary fire when using dual weapons instead of needing to change keys every time. Turning it on wouldn't affect single weapons.

Yeah lets just wait and see, this game still need a lot of stuff. I highly doubt this option you are talking about would ever make the priority list for 1.0 official launch

probably worth noting that wanting both weapons to fire together isn't universal. When running dual pistols or laser cannons, I start each level by holding down the left button, and then wait 2 seconds before holding down the right mouse button.

Gives me "no reload" on firing (whenever one weapon is reloading, the other is firing, so I have less effective fire rate, but no downtime), and I do that until I manage to get an "All you can eat."

That being said a toggle that simply checks what weapon you're using at the start of a run, and if it's dual, maps your M2 button to be the same as whatever you have selected for M1 seems like some very minor effort.
