What does Targeting Shot do?

I got it to 100% chance to activate, yet I don't see anything happening? Does it activate with bounces or pierce? I have no idea what it does.

I've had the same issue, where I can't actually ever see it doing what it's supposed to do, at least not when shooting to the side of the targeting dummy in the shop. I was wondering if maybe bouncing shot was preventing it from triggering but I still had the problem even when taking it off for a moment to test. I've been trying to find the answer to this myself.

When you hit an enemy, they fire another of the same bullet at a nearby enemy.

You can't see it at the dummy because there's no other target, so it doesn't go off.

Well right, but that's why I was aiming to the side of the dummy, not at the dummy itself. It says a chance to target on impact, not upon hitting an enemy, so I figured impact meant even striking a wall or floor, is that not the case? because it was never splitting off to strike the target of the dummy after hitting the wall nearby.

well the thing is, dummy doesnt work with most perks.
if you really want to test something, go do a stage.

Yeah it has to hit an enemy.

For extra shots its:
Targeting shot on an enemy, Split Shot in the air, Scatter Shot on a surface, Firepower from the gun

split shot does work even without being in the air ^^
i tested it with sniper, you can just stand still on the ground and it still works :)

Scatter also works on enemies

There's no other enemies in the shop so the extra bullet will go into the sky
