also there's slowmo when aiming in midair, which the game doesn't tell you anywhere...
You clearly just don't know how to move. Figure it out before you project your weakness lmao.
You are simply not good at this genre. Dodging and using the ADS to slow your momentum = guaranteed dodge and so is side dashing mid air. If you dont want to go forward or backward just move your camera to the side and slide in that direction its very simple. I have consistent nightmare runs easily with almost any weapon and have cleared up to island 100.
The enemies anticipates where you will move and will shoot accordingly just like in Risk of Rain or hell most roguelike works this way.
You say it's all RNG I say get good because you can literally stand in front of an any elites and with the right minimal movement can dodge all its sprays and random patterns.
You want to unlock guns. Beat stage 10, 20, 30 for keys and spend them in the lobby to unlock weapons. After unlocking all weapons you will unlock perks, weapon mods and grenade mods (the game is in extreme early access so chill out and let them do their thing and yet you're the only one I see complaining about lack of instruction in a damn simple roguelike).
Learn to move super fast everywhere and be accurate that's the only way you will ever beat higher difficulties and push forward. You think this hard and unfair?! Don't ever play Risk of Rain 2 on eclipse you will always die stage one.
The starting weapons are really not as bad as you think they are. Dual shotgun is absolutely busted in the right hands even without the awesome perks to make you broken has hell. You can also easily clear any difficulty with a simple melee build which you need 2 perks Big Claws and Sharp Claws. Just play the game, master it's mechanics, understand which perks are great and which are meh considering what type of weapon of playstyle you are aiming for and just freakin' adapt. The game was hard for me at 1st and after 10 hours I was beating nightmare like it was nothing.
