how do i unlock new guns? the start guns are both pretty worthless after the first shop.
--EDIT--
- the health curve on any enemy that isnt just a basic crab is way too steep, it shouldn't take more than 2 shotgun blasts to kill 1 enemy that chases you unrelenting in a straight line toward you firing scattershot explosive projectiles.
- unlocking a gun should have instructions.
- the unlocked weapons need a different colour glow to indicate they are unlocked.
- sideways movement needs a TON of work... it feels awful for an arena shooter.
- maybe consider increasing the dual shotguns' base fire rate... i didnt take any "slower firing" upgrades and i couldnt even alternate them.
- the ammo counter for dual shotguns is broken.
- damage/danger indicators would be nice.
- change the colour of the explosive/fire rocks to be more noticeable at a distance (both look orange) maybe make explosive rocks black with red cracks or something.
- parkour stages just aren't fun. too many launch pads that dont even land on the island they are pointed to.
also this is FAR from my first roguelike.
games should feel good to play regardless of genre.
This is a skill issue on you dude.
the issue is that the enemies just relentlessly go toward you ever moment and they shoot bullets that spray everywhere... there's no "skill" to be had in RNG.
You just need more practice playing videogames is all, you got this!
also i found that one of my big issues for movement was aim assist. on "low" aim assist the crosshair constantly gets stuck to enemies which stops your momentum. so turning that off helped a bunch.
still think we should be able to dash sideways if not slide.
Spec your crab with as many different effects as possible, as they all stack, try to get bouncing projectiles, piercing, and effects which cause your crab to fire more projectiles at once.
Stacking damage is not quite as effective early game, but later on you will have plenty of ways to stack more damage.
I will have to try the stacking effects thing... i mostly have been avoiding DoTs but it doesnt feel like damage perks do much of anything.
--EDIT--
in terms of more feedback
- enemy projectiles need to be different colour to the enemy firing them.
- add a slight delay (or a flash) to melee crabs.
- reduce the enemies leading their shots
- knockback on bullets does nothing, enemies dont care if they are in your face or across the map.
