Does this game need the HTC Vice or is the Oculus Rift good as well?

No, even game tittle is / have "VR", this is not VR a game. When you look game publised time, game was old & released in 1996 so, i dunno if VR was popular under 2000 year sentry.

Sadly game not was "orginal", orginal game name was Actua Soccer, what was released those time so, there is not any real & official team players so, the game has a license problem but, not anymore when thease released. x3
