Can't exit fullscreen mode/enter windowed mode

I was able to enter windowed mode by hitting Alt+Enter last time I played (2024-02-06) so I could put Jackbox on my TV but have Discord going on my laptop. Now when I try it, it responds as if I'm only hitting Enter (already checked the Alt key, it's working fine). Has there been an update recently that could've caused this? Is there another way to exit fullscreen mode, or prevent it from forcing fullscreen in the first place?

same issue here, I am using an M1 (2020) MacBook and I cannot exit full-screen mode.
