You can play in windowed mode, disable full-screen on game picker screen or the individual game menu. Update to the latest build and try again please.
Is your PC connected to a TV or AV receiver?

Another issue is whenever you would start a game, for example You Don't Know Jack (but it happened with all the games), Jackbox would shift to Windowed mode on my computer (but it looked fine running on the TV screen). Perhaps this is the problem? Resolution problems with the game? The TV is running at the same resolution as our computers. Any issues with Samsung Smart TV's?
We've never had this problem with other Steam games, only this one.
