You can play in windowed mode, disable full-screen on game picker screen or the individual game menu. Update to the latest build and try again please.

I'm also playing on a TV. The game crashes on launch. It's been weeks and I still haven't even been able to launch the game. Support is literally ignoring my emails now. This is extremely unprofessional and not how you treat a loyal customer (I own all but one of the Party Pack games on Steam and the game for 360).

I'm experiencing the exact same behavior. I emailed support again this morning (after they ignored me all last week).

Is your PC connected to a TV or AV receiver?

Hey all. We're not ignoring anyone, we've switched support services and we're having some issues with existing tickets but we should have things sorted soon, we'll respond to everyone and our engineers are working on more fixes, we know it's beyond frustrating.

New build up on support branch. It has additional debug logging in the initialization of the app/window and directx to hopefully help get some more insight into what's actually going on. You should have a 'debug.log' file sitting next to the game's .exe. The location of this can be found in Steam by going to 'Browse Local Files' in the properties.

If you're still unable to play, please attach your debug.log file on a support ticket at help.jackboxgames.com
Can't get windowed mode anymore on Pack 5. I think the update earlier today had something to do with it.

I can't even write a review on this game to warn others not to purchase. Have to play the game for 5 minutes to write a review... the game won't even open! I love these jackbox games and was very much looking forward to playing this with friends last night. Can we at least get some kind of voucher to play on a console? I almost purchased on console but decided to do it on steam for the portability. Alll I got was hosed : / How do we get our money back? I haven't tried to play since I bought it until last night so i may be screwed. I also bought drawful 2 (works fine besides a random sound glitch occasionally), bought jackpack 1, 2 , (got 3 for free a long time ago), and bought use your words (works fine). I'll have to test out these other jackpacks. Hope you can fix this issue soon or give us a way to play on console without paying all over again.

i just bought the game and my game is unresponsive, it opens up as a window and say "not responding" i tried ALL of the fixes anyone has posted in ALL forums related to this, have the game in support beta and still same thing, i cant even get into the game at all

Anyone having issues with Steam Link? Bought this last night, and tried running it to the TV via Steam Link so a party of us could play together, but it keeps freezing on the television at random, and audio cuts out, (forcing us to turn to my computer screen to keep playing) then it would pop back on the TV and work like normal, only to freeze again moments later. This constantly happened all session long, no matter what game within JB5 you played. At one point we even had double audio coming through both the TV speakers and my computer speakers. Super annoying.

Another issue is whenever you would start a game, for example You Don't Know Jack (but it happened with all the games), Jackbox would shift to Windowed mode on my computer (but it looked fine running on the TV screen). Perhaps this is the problem? Resolution problems with the game? The TV is running at the same resolution as our computers. Any issues with Samsung Smart TV's?

We've never had this problem with other Steam games, only this one.
