Support Branch Enabled For Users With Technical Issues
We've pushed a new build of the game that we hope will address the issues being reported.(full-screen not working, game crashing, distorted audio, game not progressing past start screen)


-Right click on the game from your library list and choose Properties>Betas>Support Branch.

-Should have improved fullscreen support and full logging enabled if people are having issues

-The log should should be sitting next to the games .exe where that is installed, it's called 'debug.log

-If you are still having issues after trying the support branch, then play through the game until you get the issue affecting you, exit the game, and provide us that debug.log

I tried it and it actually broke the game more. The only issue I have been having so far is thefullscreenn issue, but, when I activated the support branch, the game wouldn't open. It would show the Steam window for opening the game and for a split second it would show what looked like a command console, but the game itself would never open. I know the game wasn't just running invisible in the background since it didn't appear on the task manager. Returning the game to the normal mode fixed the issue, but I still had the fullscreen bug.

The game has crashed every single time I've tried to play Mad Verse City. This is the error that pops up after crashing[i.imgur.com] and this is my crashlog from when we played the game[pastebin.com]. Many of my friends used NSFW language in that game, so be careful opening it haha

I think I've found out something that causes one of the issues.

The support version is launching for me (unlike people above) but I still have the same issue (not progressing past start screen). I wanted to send you debug.log but... I couldn't find it in Roaming folder.

Then I opened Sysinternals Process Monitor to see where the game saves debug.log, searched for it and found this: https://prnt.sc/l87puq
So I have Cyrillic characters in my username in Windows and the game works incorrectly with their codepage.
The release version also has this problem f.e. while accessing C:\Users\Глеб\AppData\Roaming\Jackbox Games\The Jackbox Party Pack 5\temp\.
And I see most of the people in previous discussions who have this issue (not progressing past start screen) are from Russia and Ukraine (countries with Cyrillic alphabets).

It is crashing on startup and doesn't even get to a point that it produces a debug log.

Hey guys! Same for me I'm afraid; support branch doesn't launch at all with no debug log created.

as mentioned in the support thread, i'm having the "won't launch" issue on our primary PC. i tried support mode, and it still doesn't launch (and there isn't a jackbox 5 folder in the roaming folder). i updated all the relevant drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the game many times, restarted the computer a few times
Specs:
OS: Windows 10 (home ed).
Monitor: 55" 4k TV
Current Display Mode: 2048 x 1152 (32 bit) (23Hz)
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 630 {whatever}
RAM: 16GB
CPU: i7-7700T @ 2.90GHz

I was able to run it on my laptop, which is also running Windows 10 (enterprise ed). The specs are similar between devices, with the pc having slighly better specs across the board. Even on my laptop, I noticed the "fullscreen issue".
Specs:
OS: Windows 10 (ent ed)
Current Display Mode: 1920 X 1080 (32 bit) (60 Hz)
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 520
RAM: 12GB
CPU: i7-6600U @ 2.60GHz

I changed the resolution to 1920 X 1080 on the PC and it didn't fix the problem

This time a different issue for me but the game will still not start. I get an error message "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140D.dll waws not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have already reinstalled the game several times before the support version was offered and that never fixed anything.

im having issues with Zeeple Dome, their is a delayed reaction when using the controls and what is happening on screen. Every 5 mins the screen would freeze.

The support branch seems to fix the fullscreen issue for me as well as allow me to exit a game and go back to main menu without the game simply crashing. I play on a mac running mojave.
Havent tried playing the games again, but I would agreen the zeeple dome controls are a little bit difficult and feel laggy.
Otherwise great game box :)

We have a new build coming to the support branch very soon. Sorry for the wait everyone, we're hopeful this new build will fix many of these issues.

Whatever version is up now fixed the issue we were having trying to play over discord (it was a sound issue). It did introduce a few other idiosyncrasies, including a crash when trying to quit, but it was worth it.

Thanks for the quick access to the fixes!

I just received the update. This reverts me back to the previous issue I was having. The game begins to start up, a solid white box appears, and then the came closes.
