Soo... did I accidentaly make Redento stuck?

One of the quests on Redento's path is to kill the Amaugura in the Patio of the Silent Steps. Usually, this is done not only because of Redento, but because it allows the player to advance forward into Mother of Mothers as well.
However, with the introduction of Wounds of Eventide, it is possible to get to Mother of Mothers other way, through Mourning and Havoc, before ever crossing Patio of the Silent Steps.
This caused a situation where I entered the room in Patio of the Silent Steps where Redento waits from the side of Mother of Mothers, which caused the game to think the Amaugura is aleardy gone (it does not spawn there at all). However, since I didn't kill it, Redento still refuses to move forward. Upon interacting with him, he says "Penitent One, may thy trade silence neither thy spirit nor thy frame", which I believe is his common dialogue when interacting with him repeatedly before killing the Amaugura.
I checked the room with the pilgrim statue as well, he was not there and equipping all the toe prayer beads had no effect.

Can you please try verifying your game files:

1. Right-click on the game in your Steam Library, choose Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and press Verify integrity of game files...
   
2. Attempt to run the game to see if the issue is resolved.

Hi, thanks for replying,
The game files verification says All files were successfully validated

However, since posting this, I have ascended the save file and started anew, so I can't quite check it right now. I will try to recreate the situation and get back to you then (it might take some time though).

Old post but i can still verify this is a bug. I went to Mother of Mothers another way, long before i started Redentos quest line. Now he is stuck in front of the gate even though no enemy is there, because i went the other way around.

Please fix. I would need another NG+ and make it in the correct order to not get him bugged, but i doubt i will do that. Missing progress here :(....

I had the same problem. The bug is still there, but there is a way to solve it (or at least it works for me). If you haven't alredy defeated Amanecida of the Chiselled Steel, the one who apears in the same área, if you kill her, once you return to the área, the Amargura, respawn, so you can kill it and conitnue the quest.

I don't test if it allways works or I was just lucky but if you want to defeat all the Amanecidas... You have nothing to lose
