I lost my 18hr save game.

Today I open the game. Then it sent me to watch opening again. At that time I found out my save got deleted or corrupted for some reason. Unfortunate, there is no any backup save file in both /locallow and steam cloud (probably got replaced).

I'm suspecting that it because of last night I closed game by press [x] on game windows. Usually I'll just return to title then exit game.

Hi Arvinman,

Sorry to hear you're having this issue.

Is there any saved data in here:

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\TheGameKitchen\Blasphemous\Savegames

Inside there's a folder with your Steam ID number. Please open the folder and look for files named like savegame_0.save savegame_1.save etc. depending on how many save slots you're using.

If not, do you have cloud saves turned on at all for the game?
If so - can you please go here:

https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage

and check whether you have any files under Blasphemous.
If they look to be the latest save please download the files and test if they work in the game.

No, no and no. I've already state that there is no such thing in both of my
'\LocalLow\TheGameKitchen\Blasphemous\Savegames' and
https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage (this was got replaced by my unintended new game save)

I just come here to tell you. Save corrupted is still a thing and backup save is not 100% guarantee as in my case.

Me too, just joined the game this afternoon, I was at 27% on it, now it's back to 14%, really frustrating. Another time I was at 49% and it always came back to 6.9% progress.

Hi all! Save files are in right folder but there is no progress in "Pilgrimage", there was about 24%

The same thing just happened to me today, my game disappeared, I searched the game files even in the trash but I couldn't find it. Luckily I recovered an advanced part of the game (not all) thanks to steam cloud save. I hope that we all manage to have a solution and that this problem will not happen to us again.

Same for me. I was at 66% on my streamdeck, but when I downloaded game on pc all the progress just gone

Just happened to me. I only had the final boss to beat. I was playing on mac. Now tried to play on steam deck. No save files!

Happened to me today. I am at 80% something progress. I left the game open but at pause on the items menu, minimized it and then just folded my laptop. Came back after 20 mins with all my progress wiped out and I'm back to square one.

I only used one saved file on the first slot since buying it last month. Sad to see all my progress gone.
