bugged bile flask

hi, i am a new player (great game by the way) and just upgraded my bile flask for the first time. I only have one healing flask now instead of two, this has to be a bug right? how do I fix

It is not a bug.

When you upgrade, you use 1 Quicksilver, 1 Bile flask, and some tears. The flask is gone permanently.

You can get more empty bile flasks from exploring the game, which can then be added to your usable bile flask when you visit a sanguine fountain.

Same happened to me now when i upgraded my flasks to the last level and the 4 flasks that remained dissapeared and i cannot get any more.
