Wrong Button Icons and Camera Issues

So I've been playing this game for over 30+ hours and recently I got back into it because I gifted this to a friend to we could run through it together.

I've never had any issues with this game until now. The Xbox One controller doesn't display its proper inputs in game (A, B, X, Y, etc), but instead, it shows numbers that correspond to those inputs. Even when I unplug my controller and try to use my keyboard it still shows numbers as inputs but it'll flash to the correct keys when I press them. The camera is also stuck in the up position and I can't get it back down.

My drivers are updated, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and restarted my computer. Anything helps at this point and I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Thank you for your report - there is currently another thread with players reporting the same issue - Would you be so kind and share some screenshots where the buttons are displaying incorrectly?

To take a screenshot, please make sure, that you have Steam Overlay enabled in your game

1. Go to Steam -> Settings.
   
2. Click the In-Game tab.
   
3. Check "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game"
   
4. Go to Library.
   
5. Right-click on the game title and select Properties.
   
6. Under the General tab also make sure "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked.

In addition to this, would it be possible to see your system information?

1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R, the Run dialogue should appear > Type dxdiag in the available text field > Click OK
   
2. Click Save All Information > Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find
   
3. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as http://justpaste.it, http://textuploader.com or http://freetexthost.com
   
4. Copy the link to your post

Hello again! Thanks for getting back to me. I was able to fix my issue by uninstalling a gamecube controller emulator that I had.

seems to be an issue with linux native

You can right-click game > Properties > Compatibility and force the game to run with Proton experimental

Disable Steam Input as well, and you should now have correct keymappings and in-game icons for Xbox Controller
