It sounds like you might not have acquired The Bouquet of Thyme. This item is acquired in Albero after activating the Portal, so make sure you have completed this to get the item.
If you can, go back to the area to see if the mission has completed properly.
There are a few other ways you can acquire the Knot of Rosary Rope:

To elaborate I have used the portal lots, walked past that spot countless times and I distinctly remember picking it up even though I did not take the screenshot like I usually do.
None of the items are in my inventory either, as on the wiki they describe a bug where he won't accept the item.
As I said above I would be happy to share my save file if you could tell me how, I have personally checked every single spot twice and that was before I went looking for screenshots.

Have you given any of the items to him already? Or have they just disappeared?
It also looks like the Healing Herbs quest[blasphemous.fandom.com] has another herb that you could try acquiring and giving to him:
Sooty Garlic
Found in the Sleeping Canvases.
Then try giving this to him and see if that allows him to give you the Rope?

Has he taken every herb off you? If not, did he say anything?
Were you given these things each time you gave him a herb:
Linen Cloth

8 10,000
Knot of Rosary Rope (except for this one)
Before I pass this over to the team for investigation, could you please try a new save and see if the quest works correctly?
Also, have you defeated any of the 3 bosses for the masks?
