how do i get to the main menu from in game on mouse and keyboard?

so im kind of forced to use mouse and keyboard for this game cuz i dont have a controller. And its actually not that bad. its actually all done with the keyboard. Im curious though if anyone knows how to get back to the main menu or quit the game once youre in game?

i tried hitting escape but it wouldnt let me out and did nothing so i had to alt f4. just curious if theres another button the quit option is tied to i havent figured out.

I played with a controller but this may still help - to get to the main menu I had to open the map first, then at the bottom right there was something like 'game options' which is what let me quit back to the main menu. Even if you're on mouse and keyboard, check the bottom right of the map screen and you may be able to use the same option.

Edit: Looked up an image, the hotkey is 'O', while on the map screen.
