What counts toward map completion?

My map is stuck at 98% complete. I've compared mine to the v1 Strife and Ruin map by Demajen and I can't find anything I'm missing.

There are 3 rooms around Hall of the Dawning that I can't enter yet. I am in NG+, but I haven't beaten the DLC bosses yet. It seems like people are saying the DLC content does not count toward map completion though, and if this is true I have no idea what else I might be missing.

I have 38 beads (one from finishing this NG+ run), all knots, 7 relics, 9 hearts, 13 prayers, and all bones. Mea Culpa is fully upgraded. The Albero church is fully upgraded. I have five pieces of quicksilver but have not used them (figured it wouldn't help much on a Bleeding Heart NG+).

Are there events or other things that might contribute toward the map completion percentage? Or is the DLC affecting this somehow? is it possible that my game is just bugged?

(To the usual questions -- yes I've found those couple of blood fountain rooms that often get missed, I have been to all the ones marked on Demajen's map at least. Yes I do have all of the cherubs, all bones, all relics, all other collectibles. I have some sooty garlic that Tirso didn't take but I did get his knot and otherwise I'm pretty sure I completed all quests. I got Cleofas and Redento and Socorro all where they needed to be. I got the thimble to Gemino and entered the related area the proper way. I've been to the secret paintings and the secret game and as far as I know I've been through all illusory walls. I've done the puzzles in the library and cistern. I even jumped around on the ashy hill at the end and made sure I got the top of that room. There are no obvious gaps or unexplored areas on the map, and I overlaid my game map on Demajen's map and other than the DLC areas there's just nothing obviously missing here.)

Couple other minor points that might (?) affect this: I have started a couple of the Amanecidas fights but haven't finished them. Pretty sure I ran into Jibrael in all of his locations at least. I have been in all of Miriam's challenges but have not finished the last one. I've done the bad ending and have since cleared all the dungeons for the good ending, just haven't made it back over there yet. My save file shows 112.5% complete, which is lower than I would have expected after mostly completing NG+, but since I haven't beaten the DLC bosses I assume that's it.

Any ideas?

Upload your save file to check.Surely you forget about some secret room. I never had problems with 100% map. As long you discovered every square, it should be right UNLESS you forget something. I would recomend to check your map and the jpg map in to screens side by side.

I mean, yeah, I literally did this. I put both my map and the jpg map in an image editor and layered the one on top of the other and changed the transparency so I could see them both. No gaps.

How/where would you upload a save file?

Copy the content, upload it and share. Also as advice, make a safe copy of your saves cause if you open two steam accounts in same device you could lose it. It happened to me once.

There are 3 rooms that are really well hidden 2 of them are blood fountains that DO NOT get marked. These 2 are the blood fountain in the Library of the Negated Words (going down the shaft where the 2nd save is) and in the Mother of Mothers where the Statue of Pilgrim Redento worships under that square in the big area under it, under that room is a blood fountain. These 2 even when discovered don't get marked with the bile flask icon in-game.

Also the "Secret Gallery" that's next to Jacinto's Picture room counts as map % just break or slide under the wall to the left. The 8bit game room doesn't count since it has no map placement so don't worry.

You're missing a few blocks then, cause I remember all those 3 locations for me where the last 1% my map needed. So if you're at 98% then you're missing a few spaces.
