Requiem Aeternam not popping up
i only have this achievement left so that i can 100% the game. did a new save and defeated all the original bosses without flasks but it didn't pop up. is this achievement bugged or am i doing it wrong?

ive read around that equipping the holy purge heart voids this achievement but some said it worked for them. any thoughts or suggestions?

Did you use a flask in the boss-room at all? Even before or after the fight? I heard that negates the trophy. So, even if you win the fight, make sure you leave the room before using anything to heal.

when I did my playthrough for this achievement, I did ending C which voids the esdras fight. Since he's part of the list of bosses for the achievement, I had to do another run through in the same save to kill him, and then I got the achievement. Double check you got all the bosses. Also, you might have accidentally consumed a flask during fight and didn't realize or you consumed one within the boss room. What I did was use all my flasks outside the boss stage then went into the fight.

You could ascend your save and fight the bosses again and if you did miss one, the achievement should pop after.

^Only problem with doing NG+ is the bosses are a little tougher and with more HP. Could be tough for some to beat them with no flasks. Doing it on fresh NG seems like the easier way to go.

That said, the NG+ bosses are pretty easy even with some practice and having Debla spam could make them even easier than NG.

definitely more challenging to do it on ng+. most bosses I felt like didn't really require me to use debla, just took a bit more attempts. Also a lot more fun with the bigger threat of not healing. Either way, I think OP might have to do another run through of all the bosses for the achievement.

i always equip the holy purge mea culpa heart to make sure i wont accidentally use any flasks. any immediate pre dieu usually are 1-2 rooms away from the boss area so i think im safe with that part.

i did do a fresh NG so that the bosses wont hurt as much; also did the "bad" ending because i think it's the fastest route and it already includes all the OG bosses that i needed to fight. do you think fighting perpetua counts? i used flasks when i fought her and lost to her. aside from that, i think i did everything properly so im lost as to why the achievement didn't go up.

currently playing on my original save now (NG+4) and just defeated the tres aguistias (very frustrating fight ugh) but i didnt equip the holy purge mea culpa heart this time just in case that was indeed the reason why the achievement got bugged. ;~;

That's best practice but you can still get the good ending as well.

>do you think fighting perpetua counts?

It might but I don't know.

They're a bit of a pain but I feel they're one of the harder bosses for this. Maybe it's me but the second half of the game is just easier...probably because you have better spells and perks and such.

I do think perpetua counts, but i'm not sure if there are any bugs that brick the achievement.

Tres Angustias are definitely a pain to fight. Very brutal without using any flasks.

I emptied all my flasks prior to a fight just in case the game thinks that "having flasks" and "consuming flasks" is similar. That's what I did for every boss and the achievement worked for me, so if it doesn't pop up for you this time, you could try that. There's also tons of rosary beads that work while not having any flasks as well so I honestly felt like the game got a tad bit easier.

Update: I finally got the achievement! i think it's the Holy Purge heart that made my achievement bug out in my first attempt. So happy im finally done with that. thanks for all the tips! im starting my way to blasphemous 2 now. wish me luck!

Awesome! I have not yet finished blasphemous 2 but I can only say so far, it feels like more polished than the first. Hopefully you enjoy it.
