You're writing to me as if I am tech support for steam or Blasphemous. I am just some random IT dude that created a solution that worked for me so I shared it with other people. If you don't understand Linux vs Windows directory structures, I can't help you. Also, I did not write files any particular way other than following the existing structure that was already in place for the game. In step 5 it clearly states to make a folder with the same name as the file in the steam ID directory. Directory meaning folder. Other people figured it out. Makes me think you did not fully read the instructions. This is not a silver bullet solution. If it works for people awesome, I am glad to help. If not, sorry about your luck. Hopefully you find another solution that works for you. Happy hunting.
Glad this worked for you!
When you sign into the steam link from step 1, the column name on the left should say linuxhome. The name/syntaxt for the file from step 2 should be in the 2nd column.
If it does not exist, I am wondering if you started playing Blasphemous on PC first.
Ive played 78 hours on the Steam deck. Decided today since I'm off work to play it on my computer for fun and found out my save file was only 38 minutes.
Went back to my steam deck and the save file from PC had overwritten the steam deck file.
To fix this, I uninstalled on both devices, reinstalled on steam deck and thank EFFING God my local file was there.
I'm going to try your method. THanks
EDIT: SO I got up to the point where i have to force the latest proton compatability. When I choose the latest (GE-Proton8-27).
I get the option to update, but I do not get the "Steam cloud of sync" button.
WHen I open blasphemous on steam deck, its a blank file
Second Edit: It was my ♥♥♥♥ up. On my PC I had cloud saves turned off from when I was figuring the issue out before finding this forum. THanks Again!
