"Fourth Toe of Limestone: quicker dashing
Little Toe of Limestone: longer dash"
Someone maybe make easy the lampion jump?
Some things to keep in mind :
1, if you mash the attack button too much you will accidentally waste an Air Impulse charge. Carefully tap the attack button one time at the right moment. If this happens you won't have enough charges left and you will fall even if you hit the target.
2, swinging your sword too much, and button mashing or accidental button presses can prevent you from grabbing ledges. Carefully time your Air Impulse attacks so that you swing your sword once, and don't press or hold buttons that you aren't currently using in general.
3, Air Impulse charges will not be restored when you grab a ladder. You must put your feet on a platform to recharge. In sections with ladders between lanterns this is very easy to forget.
4, you can also use Down + Attack, but this can accidentally activate the Weight of Sin drop attack if you hold attack for too long. Some players prefer this method because it is easier to reach the buttons, just tap the attack button to avoid falling.
I was holding only the "right" ( > ) button. When it didn't work: /\ + >
And I beat the game many times, but this issue I encountered only at these two ledges.
This particular jump is near a hanging Lantern; players often wildly swing their sword at that lantern in the hope that they can Air Impulse off of the lantern to make the jump, just one extra swing of the sword after you bounce off of the Lantern is enough to prevent you from grabbing the ledge. This is a common theme; pressing certain buttons at the wrong time is punished by making the Penitent One lock into an action, which prevents you from quickly switching to the correct action, like changing the direction you are swinging your sword, or performing an automatic ledge grab.
The window of exclusion is relatively short, but it is long enough that it is noticeable, which is why everyone posts these "bug" discussions about ledges, ladders, lanterns,... It just doesn't feel like what you did and what happened are connected, even though they are actually connected.
The Blue Rose Door challenges are particularly notorious for causing the player to panic or rush, causing more mistakes and accidental button or key presses, The player is in no state of mind to keep a mental record of all these little things, and the result is feeling like you did everything right and dying anyway. Which is exactly what they were going for.
And these buttons are?..
You would never miss a ladder if flying through it by holding "/\ + >" keys, BUT there is a issue with ladders exists: you have to pass a middle of it, that's why people keep posting.
Damn, I wish I know that before..
