True Ending Requiem Aeternam possible??
Hey every1,
Been playing a lot really trying to get a good grasp of exact requirements/triggers behind some achievements, necessary for my own challenge runs later.

Now for Requiem Aeternam, Esdras IS A REQUIREMENT, but, if you go for the True Ending, does the requirement for Esdras still get completed or is it missable and not possible on the True Ending route??

I know it seems it wouldn't as you are not actually fighting him, but it's possible they made it a possibility as now we can get all Rosary Beads even if Cleofas dies, whereas before you couldn't, so makes me think they sometimes add workarounds.......

I guess this also means, does the True Ending pop THE BROTHER achievement, that's for beating Esdras??

I'm not certain the Devs coded the True Ending so that avoiding the Esdras fight actually counts as a defeat still in regards to achievements??

Thanks everybody, I know this is a longshot hoping anybody has this information, but though I would ask before I put in the time to find out myself ;)

P.S. Esdrias isn't needed for the Bestiary achievement, that's why I didn't mention it if any1 is curious

You can't get Requiem Aeternam on the new ending route, because you don't fight Esdras. However, apparently boss progress carries over onto NG+, meaning if you defeated all the other original bosses without using flasks, and then do a NG+ on the same file, you should get the achievement as soon as you defeat Esdras without flasks. I've heard it's a bit finicky as to what counts as the "boss room", though (for Esdras, the bridge around the checkpoint?), so be careful.

When I did it, I had the heart of Holy Purge equipped (which prevents all flask usage) for most sections of the game, and on the original endings route.

Ohhh so a few players have tried it already, but luckily progress for it carries so it pops on Esdras!!

Thanks mate for letting me know, I guess that isn't that bad, still would have been nice to pop it in NG True Ending because to get all achievements in 1 playthrough, u must avoid the True Ending ;(

Is that a challenge run you're doing? Save backups would be needed for some of them.
In case you didn't know, there's quite a bit more that appears only in NG+, and the achievements don't include any other stuff from the 3 DLC updates.

It's a achievement Speedrun, but in order to make it more accessible, I was wanting to incorporate the true ending into it, guess I won't be doing that ;)

Yea, I've got a firm grasp there abouts of exactly what map tiles, enemies, items etc are needed for the achievements

Last Words so the only one annoying me now as I think it keeps bugging out

I like the true ending better anyway...it fits the theme of the game a lot better. Truest one got a little cartoonish for me.
