IDK why but i cant continue on the last of Miriam level
These Lamps jumps are making me go insane
after the elevator ride down i cant catch the edge, after the stupid lamp jump it just doesn't work ????
it seams some edges are broken doesn't matter how many tries, it just not work!!!!!!!
i have tried now for 2 hours straight !!!!!!
is there anyway to skip it ? is it a bug ????

It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level yes.
But here some nice tips, tiento block most the damage, the Brilliant Heart of Dawn speed boost allow long jump and can bypass most of the stupid lamp jump.

I've just beat the last level. There's nothing wrong with lamp jumps, ladder grabs or ledge grabs. Everything works how they are suppose to be.

If you fail at lamb jumps, you're not pressing the trigger button before the attack button.
If you fail at ladder grabs, you're alternating between d-pad very slow and miss your window.
If you fail at ledge grabbing, you're not close enough.

They are muscle memory things basically. You panic and mess up. It's okay. That last level took 9 tries even for me. Use the new bead that the Librarian gives you as a reward. It will make you a little faster and it'll make the levels easier.

i have tried in total of 5 hours of game play just on that stupid lamp to ledge part
i can only get one boost of the lamp and then to my death
and on youtube i can clearly see pll doing the same thing as i do it and they grab the ledge but for me it wont work...

idk what to do :(

At the end of the day, it is completely optional. The reward is rather mediocre, and even if it was good the final bosses are way easier than that platforming(1st try final boss kill vs 30 minutes of trying until i beat level 5). If you do not like it, do not do it

A major trick: you can take a leap of faith in the first 2 sections and cancel your downward momentum with the ranged attack to safely navigate towards the platforms below.

i used dodge speed boost, jump then ranged attack and boom landed on the platform :D

The last jump platform is definitely broken. It also took me a good amount of tries to get on it.

The problem is that the game generally let's you grab into any platform that doesn't move or clumble, but this one in particular seems to void this rule and nobody expects that.

I had doubts too, several (a lot) of tries in, of this challenge room being unfairly built, as I was getting worse at it at some point. But then I developed some muscle-memory consistency once more and finally made it.

Tiento to your Thorned Hairs prayer and Reliquary of the Sorrowful Heart rosary bead in combination helped a lot.

yeah, it is the hardest part of the challenge;

the badly desinged juming challenges is the only thing preventing me from giving this game a positive review; really left a sour taste

I found switching to using the D-pad instead of the analogue stick really helped with the lamp jumps. Then I KNOW I'm pressing down and right at the same time to get the lamp hit.

I finally beat this level just a moment ago. Until today I haven't played at all since day 1 of the DLC because this last challenge area, along with the design of basically everything about this new patch aside from the boss rush mode, left me feeling disgusted.

But there's so much wrong with this last challenge. It's so long and the pacing through the level is completely dependent on the moving platforms and ladders. The time they give you feels like pretty much the bare minimum amount of time to get through it and if you miss a cycle on the movement of the platforms in one of the rooms or dilly dally in any way I don't think it's even possible to make it. The last area is literally just standing on a platform while it slowly flies around in circles as fireballs crisscross the room and if your run wasn't perfect up to that point you're going to run out of time waiting for this platform to get into the exact position you need it to be in to cross the finish line. On my third attempt today I ran out of time EXACTLY as I was sliding across the finish line and had to keep trying. I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tilted. I was even using a skip I found where you fall and catch yourself on a wall at the right time to jump onto a platform at the right position in its cycle and it skips a whole guillotine platforming section. I would have thought that skip would be good for 20 or 30 seconds or so but when I finally beat the challenge I still only had a few seconds to spare. And I wasn't taking my time, I was taking hits and damage boosting through stuff and dashing like a madman, I didn't give a ♥♥♥♥. It doesn't matter, there are still a bunch of platforms you have to get to and just sit there and wait for them to do something while jumping over fireballs. Annoying and a huge waste of time.

Then your reward for doing this isn't even a boss fight or any kind of new enemies or area to explore or interesting items to play with or whatever. You can't even retry the challenges to try to beat your best time. You don't even get an achievement. You just get a weird prayer that for the life of me I can't understand why you would want to use it.

I too would want to be able to access the challenge rooms whenever I like, perhaps from the main menu, to try out possible shortcuts, beat my times etc.

The prayer you get when having completed the challenges also doesn't excite me, because just like Miriam appearing in Cvstodia in the first place, it feels really out of place.

I'm not bothered by that as much as I just don't get why you would use it over something else. Debla or any attack buffing prayer would be better for dealing damage, or you could just use tiento and smack away without worrying about getting hit and you can do a lot more damage than this weird lady randomly dumping a bunch of garbage in front of you in a really uncontrollable way one time. You could even use that ghost prayer that summons the big spirit with a sword and it attacks multiple times instead of just once. The new prayer looks unique I guess, but as far as I can tell it doesn't have any appealing qualities for applying it in game.

I think the best payoff from playing through the new content by far is the NES Jason color skin. But even then I prefer using true guilt skin.
