EDIT: nvm, turns out I completely forgot about the room in the Library of Negated Words where you get the Romance to the Crimson Mist
Those blocked corridors and archways usually open up with future content updates. At least it was so when Stir of dawn got released.
I've 100%ed the map, so I'm not missing anything. As Spectrum said above, it looks like I just need to beat my third Penitence to bump the number up to 150.
I've done the same and I too am at 148.25%. Finished the 8bit arcade too, just in case, etc.
From what I read about it, the game would only be 150% for us, if we went to get 1st ending, then 2nd ending and finally the 3rd ending in that same run. I reckon we did a rather thorough playthrough and that barred us from 1st and 2nd ending, which apparently counts towards the completion percentage somehow.
Btw that's only what I gathered from others regarding the % completion, I haven't really tested it in another full run-through. 4th time is the charm I reckon, sometime before the Blasphemous 2 hits.
I got all endings for my second penitence and ended up at 137.5%. I got only the good ending for the third penitence and ended up at 148.25%, so this must be it, assuming it is +12.5% for each of NG+ and the three penitences. This was after the release of WoE.
I supposed I've always wanted to do a Spanish playthrough and this is as good an excuse as any. Would also be nice to go back to a no Penitence playthrough since I'm done with those and just wreck everything. I'm a teensy bit burned out though because I really plowed through that last playthrough, so I might just take it slow.
According to my calculations, in order to get all three endings in one playthrough, you'd need to beat Crisanta with the final sword heart, but hold off on going to talk to her at the church after and getting the Holy Wound of Abnegation, instead, going off to fight Escribar without having done all the confessor challenges to get Ending B. Then, go and complete the challenges and fight him again for Ending A. Finally, going back to Crisanta and continuing the path towards Ending C. It's an incredibly small window that you'd have to have pre-planned because you can get locked out of at least one ending for futzing a minor thing. Fighting Crisanta without the sword heart locks you out of Ending C, doing all the confessor challenges locks you out of Ending B, and getting the Holy Wound of Abnegation locks you out of A and B. The absent minded may need to create backup saves just in case, I suppose.
So just to confirm (and for the benefit of anyone who might come across this topic), for 150% completion you are required to:
- Beat the game
- Witness all 3 endings in a single playthrough
- Have had a full, completed playthrough with each of the 3 Penitences prior
- 100% map completion
- All 38 cherubs
- Unlock every rosary mystery
- Collect every rosary bead
- Collect every relic
- Collect every prayer
- Collect every sword heart
- Collect every bone/collectible
- Max out your Mea Culpa and learn every ability
- Find all sword hearts to max out health
- Find all fountains to max out fervour
- Complete the arcade minigame (?)
The above also implies you need to see every quest to its completion to gain some of those items as rewards (including the DLC stuff). Obviously some quests are failable, but as far as I can tell, you can still earn their rewards regardless. I'm not sure about the arcade game, but I figured, just go through it, get all the skulls, finding the secret skin while you're at it, and you'll be good.
- Miriam's challenges don't count towards completion.
- Only the second ending (sit on the throne) counts towards completion.
- Not sure if the new areas even count towards map completion...
- Arcade game does not count.
