quicksilver on health penitence
does upgrading your bile flasks while on the NG+ penitence that changes your health into orbs do anything? like does it heal 2 orbs at some point or make it regenerate faster or something? or have i just been wasting flasks?

Yes, giving up bilk flasks will make your life orbs refill quicker.

On my Bleeding Heart run, I sacrificed two bilk flasks and I thought they started refilling at about twice as fast and I probably could have sacrificed a few more. You're never going to use all ten bilk flasks in a fight anyway so you may as well.

IMO in a bleeding heart run, it's better to not use any quicksilver and just rely on the flasks and the pelican bead thing, it makes you invulnerable while the bile flask animation is running.
That basically gives you 10 3 second invulnerabilities and you can pretty much tank through anything with them.
