Can you skip the death screen button prompt?

Not a huge deal, but can we get the option to skip the button prompt on the death screen? It's a bit annoying to have to press a button every time you die (which is a lot, for me.)

I wouldn't mind the button press, but the whole thing needs to slowly fade in, then a half second later actually registers the press, then slowly fades out again. It's pretty jarring, compared to how smooth and quick everything else is in the game.
