Sounds extremely powerful for a prayer. Besides, we already have a prayer that buffs melee.

maybe it costs extremely high also no damage increase to balance it out. and yeah we have a prayer to buff damage and speed of attack but not range.

We have the prayer to summon a ghost with a larger sword too.

yeah i know but its so slow, and kinda costly. that prayer is just for show do to that.

We do have it now (not exactly but really close to the idea here), it calls "Aubade of the Nameless Guardian". This prayer is obtained form defeating all four golden skull weapons in the update "stir of dawn". If I am not wrong after that, the prayer will be dropped at the mirror on top of the "Ferrous tree"

yes it also incredibly slow and consumes enough fervor to be in the never use section.
