Cant scroll item description!

After picking up an item, when i go to the inventory screens, i am unable to scroll the items description. if its cut off by the bottom of the description window i have no idea what the item does!

what am i missing here?

The keys are weird. I don't know about controllers, but in a keyboard you have to use G or H to scroll down and I think Y to scroll up, I can't remember now. Those same keys allow you to move the camera soightly up and down, too.

for anyone else that overlooks it idiotically like i did but is too afraid to ask, on the 360 controller its apparently mapped to up/down on the right stick.
