What does the Heart of the Virtuous Pain do?

All it does is basically extend your blocking stance by 1 second, so it's easier to block but it also leaves you more open to getting hit if you miss the timing. Honestly I think it's a useless Heart. The parrying window is pretty generous in this game I think.

Yeah, whatever your default button is for block/parry. For instance it's R1 for me.

Ah, alright, I didn't know you could use it as a block, I always parry or dodge.
