Don't destroy them all if you want an easy way to clear guilt it also involves the Immaculate Pearl
I don't wanna give away too much, unless you want.
I'd be interested. I'm at 85% completion and just have to kill the last boss. So should I kill him first then destroy all the statues and kill him again ? What is the pearl you'r talking about ?
Kill him before or after you destroy all the statues, it won't matter, you still get B. Makes cleansing guilt via way of Tear payment harder obviously.
UNLESS
There's a Bead called the Immaculate Pearl, equip that and die (multiple times might be needed) until it's basically transformed. Equip it and interact with the red puddles left by the Confessor statues, do this for all of them and then go kill the final boss for A.
You can continue playing after the ending so get B and then A, really. Both unlock a different color palette for the Pertinent One.
Sitting on 93.75, I think I've missed a missable thing or two, as I have objects in my Key Items that SHOULD go to certain NPCs but they won't accept them anymore.
Also missing a Mea Culpa Heart or two I think...
Got every bone, the reward isn't great but isn't awful, so I'm happy.
You can't go get B if you did all the steps for A though.
