It is interesting that they included a limit on the number of active relics at any moment but they rarely used the design to make people choose wisely to solve puzzles or get through a room.
Relics on unless disabled seems like it might be an okay feature change.
And sometimes i admit we must turn off some relic, then we should get more slot for the relics or a turn on/off in the inventory !
Hope the miracle hear what we ask :p
The half-full glass is 0 backtracking because we have all the relics at the start of the game.
Just because I already have the nail relic, that doesn't mean I'll equip it every time I have to cross a mud pool in the holy line and unequip it afterwards.
Blood platforms + 3 Tongues are almost always useful, then switch the 3rd when needed:
- Talking with the dead is not essential on NG+ if you've been meticolous on a 1st run, so shroud is almost useless.
- when Silver lung Is needed, It usually stay useful for a good amount of time, same for Gold linen.
- Nail real usefulness time hardly reaches a minute in total, equip when needed.
- Hand Is kinda useful on NG+ to further avoid backtracking for secret rooms.
My go to relics 90% of the time are Bowl + Tongue + Hand.
