Teleport between savepoints?

"The Prie Dieu is now upgradeable, allowing for fast travel between the altars." How/when can you do this?

There is a building in Albero that will open its doors to you during your journey. The power to travel far and fast will be given to those of generous nature.

In other words, you must spend a lot of Tears (I think around 20-25K) at a donation box inside Albero church. The doors will open sooner than you're used to (for me, I believe the trigger was beating Our Lady of the Charred Visage first).

phew if thats what it takes to unlock fast travel (25k points) then its gonna take a while for me ;)

It is 20K and it is not that long to unlock just beat a DLC boss and you'll receive a crapton. It is easy to encounter the arrow and axe DLC boss early on.
