How to upgrade The Prie Dieu?

I don't see such option at the The Prie Dieu.

the thing is i saw the donation box and decide to donate to it (20k by coincedence). do i have to donate again after i get the prie something or it will already count?

That's just insane how unnecessarily random they're making it to unlock it. How would any normal person even know about this, without looking it up on the internet / Steam forums?

Normally in these type of games when you find something that wants currency you keep giving it till something happen :) and here in ng+ you dont really need currency for items/upgrades, because you already have them and you accumulate it much faster. But that is why we have to forums:) to share the secrets.

Do you have to donate it all at once? I know I've given over 20K at the donation box, but it's been in chunks throughout the game so far and I don't have a fast travel option at the Prie Dieu... I'm on my first playthrough

You can, but you don't have to. It is possible to donate in phases every time you get some Tears to spend.

Okay, it finally lets me fast travel after giving some more money... looks like I should have been keeping my receipts ;)

i find this issue with a lot of old school type games that the secrets are just way too secretive and the only way to find them is to search on internet. Just like 'easter eggs' and most of the time the surprise doesn't actually help with the game play it is just a phrase from another video game or something like that. Like think back to Doom who would of thought to randomly press IDKFA for a cheat code. How the secrets and codes first get let out is beyond me or i just dont follow a game deep enough to be involved at that level of secrecy
